QUALITY SPECIALIST

We are currently recruiting Quality Specialist for our client based in West Belfast for temporary ongoing positions.

Responsibilities

Main duties and responsibilities of the Quality Gate Specialist will include:

• Perform a variety of inspections and tests to determine the acceptability of finished goods, in-process parts, assemblies and materials.  
• Isolate nonconforming product, review with section personnel and instigate corrective actions. The role includes authority to stop the line as and when required by the Stop-to-Fix process.
• Record, collate, analyse and complete statistical reporting of quality data. Maintain section metrics/information boards, database and inspection checklists.
• Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action teams and support other initiatives such as MQ12005, ISO9001 to promote section continuous improvement.
• Complete minor product repairs on line.
• Any other appropriate duties.
• Essential Criteria
• Knowledge / Experience of Quality processes and commitment to Quality aims
• Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
• Computer literate, including MS Office
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints, electrical drawings and acceptance standards documentation
• Attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of functional processes, e.g mc shop, paint, assembly
• The successful candidate will have strong organisational, analytical, decision- making and communication skills and will be highly motivated, with the ability to work on his or her own initiative and in a team environment.  
• Available to work any shift pattern within the Company if required

• Working knowledge of internal computer systems would also be desirable
